Mr. Tierney serves as counsel to hundreds of contractors, industry lenders and manufacturers throughout the United States. While his practice focuses on all aspects of law impacting the home improvement and remodeling industry, he has represented local, regional and national contractors in  complex state and federal regulatory matters on such diverse topics as lead paint, sales and use taxation, independent contractor protocols, telemarketing, warranty structuring, employment protocols, advertising and marketing compliance and lending and finance regulations. He has defended over a hundred governmental audits and enforcement actions and excels in industry-specific compliance and litigation strategy, quality control and business planning for contractor owners.

Mr. Tierney received his B.S. in Political Science from Florida State University in 2001. Mr. Tierney received his law degree from American University’s Washington College of Law in 2004. Prior to joining Berenson LLP, Mr. Tierney practiced securities and corporate law privately in Washington D.C. Mr. Tierney is admitted to practice law in the State of Georgia, State of Florida, and the District of Columbia.
