Mr. Engelbrecht serves as counsel to contractors, manufacturers, third-party financing companies, and other businesses related to the home improvement and remodeling industry throughout the United States. His practice focuses on all aspects of law impacting the industry but specific areas include: regulatory compliance matters, such as privacy law, telemarketing rules, consumer protection considerations at the local, state, and federal levels; governmental audits and enforcement actions; and business planning and corporate strategy. Mr. Engelbrecht has represented clients throughout the United States in matters ranging from restrictive covenant litigation to the complete drafting and execution of a client’s corporate and customer-facing documentation.

Mr. Engelbrecht received his B.S. in Accounting and B.S. in Political Science in 2016 and his law degree, magna cum laude, in 2019, all from Florida State University. While in law school, Mr. Engelbrecht received his Business Law Certificate, summa cum laude, documenting a proficiency and mastery of business law while being awarded the Book Award documenting the highest grade in the following classes: Evidence, Tax Drafting, and Tax Planning. Prior to joining Berenson LLP, Mr. Engelbrecht worked in tax advisory services for a Big 4 Accounting Firm, advising clients on potential sales tax exposure; clerked for the Honorable Justice Ricky Polston of the Florida Supreme Court, reviewing appeals on jurisdictional matters, commercial and tort litigation, government and regulatory concerns, and capital punishment; and practiced law privately in Tampa, Florida, where he represented clients in international commercial litigation, contractual reviews and employment litigation on the sides of both workers and management. Mr. Engelbrecht is admitted to practice law in the State of Florida.
